A Durban boy, Freddy L also fronts a Durban-based indie/folk band, The Subway Run. he pursued his solo career a year before forming The Subway Run (2014). After their successful run at doing shows and festivals in and around the province, Freddy L is diving head first into his solo career
He’s been on The Voice Season 2, and after his audition he had all four coaches begging him to join their teams. His first audition went global under the category of The most surprising act.
Kahn Mobee of The Parlotones refers to Freddy’s unique voice as “money”. Freddy was in Team Kahn, which saw him going as far as the Season 2 final 16, and has been spotted on stage with his coach. He recently recorded a song with the award-winning GoodLuck band. He’s excited for his debut album, which promises flavour and a bunch of life stories.
