Abeer Abazeed

Abeer RY Abazeed is a PhD student at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University. Her PhD research tackles the role of civil society in hydropolitics issues in the Eastern Nile basin (Egypt-Sudan-Ethiopia). Her research interest is international political economy, and she has published articles in Arabic journals using this approach. Civic engagement is her current research interest, and that derived from her engagement with many Egyptian civil society organisations. She has also contributed to founding initiatives aiming to consolidate bonds between Egypt and other African countries.
