Loes Oudenhuijsen
Loes Oudenhuijsen is a PhD student at the African Studies Centre, Leiden University. Her research focuses on sexually dissident women in Senegal between 1950 and the present.
There are many different levels of stigmatisation. Some are legal because of the criminalisation of certain practices (eg in Senegal, abortion is illegal under all circumstances, including (incestuous) rape; same-sex sexual conduct is illegal).
